About the Author

Cathrine Carrasco Lynch, MS CCC/SLP

Catherine Carrasco Lynch was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She received her bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. While still working full time with the Denton Independant School District as a bilingual graduate clinician, she earned her Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology. It was during her Master's program that she discovered the enormous disparities between the knowledge and philosophies of academic instruction and the practical limitations of providing therapy in the schools. Quite simply, there were not enough Spanish books that incorporated the advanced teaching techniques taught in graduate school to improve and to encourage early speech and language development.
